-- 21 players will be retiring following the conclusion of Season 51, meaning that the league will consist of 5 less players in Season 52. That's more than twice the number of last season's 10 retirees.
-- 9 of the retirees are current starters. (Only 2 starters retired last season).
-- 1 of the retirees is a Hall of Famer...namely, center Tree Fiddy of Sacramento.
-- Sacramento, the oldest team in the MBA, lost the most players to retirement...4
-- Sacramento, San Jose and Charleston...all Dave teams...lost the most starters with 2 each.
-- One team, Gillette, lost nobody...they had nobody up for retirement.
-- Three teams, Gillette, Philadelphia and Dallas lost no starters to retirement. That news from a powerhouse Philly team, is especially bad for the rest of the league.
-- Big name losses: Fiddy of Sacramento, center Quick Tink of Los Angeles, last season's MVP and Fatty McButterpants of Milwaukee.
-- Centers lead the way in starters who have retired. Four will be gone, all of whom have had productive MBA careers.
