MBA PLAYOFFS ROUND ONE

In what can only be described as a shocker, the Seattle Stampede eliminated the Houston Iguanas two games to none to advance to their first championship series since Season 14.
Seattle opened up the series with a72-66 road win behind the 23-point, 5-rebound, 5-blocked shots effort of rookie center Tom "The Bomb" Kondla. And showing that Game 1 was no fluke, the Stampede seized control of the first-round clincher right out of the gate and went on to a 88-73 triumph. Forward Kush Kush Hotahey was the MVP in this contest for Seattle, with 18 points and six blocked shots.
The other series is proving to be a barn burner, as expected, with Dallas dominating Game 1 and two-time defending champ Charleston holding serve on its own home court. The next game is the decider and some might contend that it is the title contest.
Mamodou Zongo of Dallas (20 points) and Chuck Rysz of Charleston (16 points, 5 rebounds) shared MVP honors in Game 1. Rookie of the Year Jimsy Redfern was MVP for the Rebels in Game 2 with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks, an assist and a steal.
