OFFENSE UNLEASHED, CHARLESTON SENDS SERIES TO FINAL GAME
CHARLESTON -- The defending champion Charleston Rebels sent the championship series to its final game with a 74-70 home win against the San Jose Fighting Amigos.
The highly-praised front line of the Rebels, center Jonny Cockaroo and forwards Boone Doggle and Sammy Zazooch, played like demons in this one, finally breaking free of the defensive stranglehold of San Jose. Doggle had 18, Zazooch 14 and Cockaroo 16 in the winning effort.
Zazooch was especially clutch, picking up the fourth double-double of his illustrious career with 6 rebounds and five blocked shots.
Hall of Famer Sagittal Occlusal of San Jose matched his power forward opponent Doggle with a 17-point, 5-rebound, 3 blocks game and provided fans with a spirited one-on-one battle.
Rookie two guard Cock A. Doodledoo of San Jose led all scorers with 21 points, but for the second game in a row, Fighting Amigos center Zlatko Korkovic was completely held out of the scoring column by defensive genius Cockaroo of the Rebels.
Cockaroo sealed the deal for Charleston in this one. With the Rebels clinging to a 71-70 lead, the big guy scored with four time units remaining, was fouled and converted the free throw as the Rebel flags waved wildly in the stands.

SPECIAL NOTE: San Jose and Charleston are matching up in the playoffs for the third consecutive season, with every one of their series going the maximum number of games. In six playoff series in the past three seasons, the Rebels have played the max number of games in all but one.

I think Cockaroo should have gotten the MVP of the game from the description. Maybe you should get points for holding your opponent well below their scoring average!
