PHOBIA OUTLASTS LATE LARIAT RUN
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Despite a near-miraculous 24-13 fourth-quarter comeback try, the Oklahoma City Lariats could not overcome a horrendous first half and bad free-throw shooting as they lost to first-place Philadelphia 73-70.

The win by Philly was their fourth in a row, giving the Phobia a 5-1 mark, while the Lariats drop to 3-3.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
29 GVP...Fourth-year shooting guard HANDSY JOE POTATOE of Oklahoma City led the fourth-quarter charge that fell just short of victory. The 6-5 Potatoe scored a game-high 24 points on 6 of 10 shooting that included 4 of 6 bombs and 8 of 9 from the foul line. He also tied for team-high with 4 rebounds and added 1 assist.

Other 20-Plus GVP performers
27 GVP...Philly center Taco Toosdae dominated his counterpoint Carga Larga, scoring a team-high 21 points and grabbing a game-high 6 rebounds. The 6-11 pivot is now second in the MBA in scoring with a 17.8 ppg average.
